Several times over the last 30 years, I have tried to read these books. And failed. Just lacking in so many ways. I typically will finish even a bad book, if the characters are somewhat engaging. I never finished the Sword despite several tries. Skip this series.

The author misspelled the word "Shanarra". It should be "Shannara". The prequel to the Shannara Series is the First King of Shannara, if you didn't know.
